We work with you to negotiate a transaction that meets all your objectives. We guide you through each step of the sales process, help solve every challenge you face and act as your advocate throughout the deal - leveraging our firm's decades of experience in order to successfully sell your business.

The Christman Group sales process is a methodical one that includes the following:

Phase 1 - Pre-Sales Planning

  • Discover your personal, business and financial goals
  • Collect data about your company
  • Prepare a detailed business valuation
  • Conduct in-depth industry research

Phase 2 - Marketing

  • Prepare powerful marketing materials about your company and its value drivers
  • Develop a customized marketing program for your company
  • Identify prospective buyers worldwide
  • Market your company on a confidential basis
  • Secure nondisclosure agreements from prospective buyers
  • Receive "qualifying bids" or indications of value from buyers
  • Schedule and conduct management presentations and site visits

Phase 3 - Negotiation

  • Analyze offers and terms to help you decide which is the best offer
  • Manage key relationships with buyers
  • Assist with negotiations on the Letter of Intent
  • Obtain a final signed Letter of Intent
  • Coordinate the due diligence process
  • Assist with negotiation of the purchase and sale agreement

Phase 4 - Closing

  • Work with your attorneys to draft the definitive purchase and sale agreement
  • Help resolve any open issues between parties
  • Coordinate between you and the buyer on strategic planning issues
  • Close the transaction
